Beyond GDP: the Communication from the European Commission “GDP and beyond – Measuring progress in a changing world” is published and can be downloaded here. The Commission states, inter alia, that GDP should be complemented by a comprehensive environmental index (Beyond CO2) and the measurement of quality of life and wellbeing.
