Spring Alliance Conference
“Putting People and Planet first: EU Leadership for a social and green strategy post 2010″

The Spring Alliance is a network of members from all corners of civil society which is managed by four leading European civil society organisations: the European Environmental Bureau, the European Trade Union Confederation, Social Platform and Concord; the Spring Alliance steering committee.

At this conference the Spring Alliance Manifesto, an EU strategy where the environment and social goals are the cornerstone of a long term development, will be presented to European decision makers representing i.a. the European Commision, the European Parliament and the EU presidencies, including high-level speakers such as José Manuel Barroso, President of the European Commission, and Maud Olofsson, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Enterprise and Energy in Sweden. The conference will be open to all stakeholders from civil society and EU decisionmakers with an interest in the Spring Alliance and invites participants to take part in discussions on how to move the Spring Alliance Manifesto forwards.
