Arrival

This conference will be organised according to the “Green Meeting“-guidelines of the Austrian Ecolabel.

We therefore suggest to preferably choose public means of transportation, a bicycle (there are more than 1000 bicycle parking places located along the bike path circling the perimeter of the campus) or to team-up in carpools. If it is necessary for you to arrive by car or plane, please make use of the carbon offsetting-system provided by our partner BOKU.

Public means of transportation:

Subway: Campus WU is located between the two U2-subway stops “Messe-Prater” and “Krieau”. The main building (LC) is roughly the same distance from each of the two subway stations (5-10 minutes by foot).

Bus: The bus line 82A brings you directly to Campus WU, the stop “Südportalstraße” is located directly in front of the main building (LC). The stops “Krieau” and “Trabrennstraße” are also quite close (5-10 minutes by foot).

Streetcar: The streetcar line 1 brings you to the final stop “Prater, Hauptallee”. Via Kaiserallee you easily reach Campus WU (5-10 minutes by foot).

Citybikes:

If you wish to use the Viennese Citybikes for arriving, you have the choice between 3 stations. “211 Südportalstraße” is located directly at Campus WU in front of the main building (LC). The stations “207 Messeplatz” and “208 Krieau” are in close distance (5-10 minutes by foot). For an interactive map of all Citybike stations see here.

Car:

The underground parking garage is located under the main boulevard running through the campus. The entrance to the garage is on Trabrennstrasse 5. The garage has 411 parking places; 180 places are for short-term parking, the rest is reserved for long-term pass holders. There are four exits to the campus from the garage. All exits lead to the outside, so that visitors can enter all campus buildings from their main entrances on the ground floor.
