Short description:

The transition of our energy system is a key project for the next century and a challenge towards a sustainable way of doing business and of living.
Two contradictory paths towards energy transition compete against each other: One is based on technical progress and big-scale-solutions: Smart Grids, CCS and nuclear fusion are ideas for realizing this path. The other path is to change our way of life and our economic system fundamentally by changing individual behaviour, because big-scale-technical solutions will not be ready soon enough or they will be too expensive.
Both visions will be discussed during the session in form of two introductory speeches followed by an intensive discussion with the audience.
