    Panel discussion

At the Paris climate conference (COP21) in December 2015 a universal and legally binding agreement to tackle climate change was adopted with the long-term goal of keeping the increase in global average temperature to well below 2°C above pre-industrial levels and the aim to limit the increase to 1.5°C. In the history of climate negotiations this agreement can be seen as a historic turning point. What are the consequences of this agreement for Austria and Europe and will it accelerate the transformation of our economic system? Which sectors have already been transforming and which run the risk of ignoring relevant developments? What’s next after Paris and which political measures have to be taken?
