Mira Kapfinger, was part of the Austrian Delegation to the 2014 Lima UN Climate Summit through the project “UN-Climate Reporters” (Youth Environment Platform – JUMP). She attended Paris COP21 as mentor for the next generation of Youth Reporters. In 2009, she reported on the events around COP15 in Copenhagen for Radio Orange 94.0, a participant of the “European Energy Radio Campaign”.
As Master student in Environment and Bio-Resource Management at BOKU, Vienna, Austria, she writes her thesis within the research project “COSIMA – Governing community-based social innovation for climate change mitigation and adaptation”. She holds a Bachelor degree (distinction) from this very university in the same field. Her bachelor thesis was an interdisciplinary group project on EU Emissions Trading. A six-month ERASMUS scholarship brought her to the Université des Antilles et de la Guyanne in Guadeloupe. Having obtained the Nationalparks Austria Ranger Certificate, she works as tour guide in the Nationalpark Neusiedler See – Seewinkel since 2012.
