22.-24.4.15, Aberdeen, UK/ This year, Energy Cities’ International Conference will be held in a city of which the economy has long been relying on the oil industry and which has now engaged in the energy transition. That makes Aberdeen an exciting place to welcome city representatives and energy experts from all around Europe to meet, discuss and network in the friendly atmosphere of which Energy Cities alone has the secret.
A rich programme will allow you to discover how cities can shift to a new economy, rethink energy production and to learn more about Aberdeen’s ’Journey towards 2050’ through different study tours.
In the framework of Energy Cities’ COP21 actions, Energy Cities is also organising a high-level session for mayors “on the road to Paris 2015”, with the presence of Célia Blauel, Deputy Mayor of Paris in charge of the Environment & Sustainable Development. This session will give mayors the opportunity to discuss the required change in energy governance to achieve the energy transition.
