The purpose of the conference is to present concrete examples on how the environmental and sustainability pledges made at international level (including the Paris agreement and UN SDGs) could be implemented at EU, national and regional level.
The high-level speakers that have already confirmed their participation include Jyrki Katainen (Vice-President of the European Commission), Janez Potocnik (Co-Chair of the UN International Resource Panel and former EU Commissioner for Environment), Anneli Jäätteenmäki (MEP and former Prime Minister of Finland), Petri Sarvamaa (MEP and member of the Committee on Budgets), Camilla Gunell (former Premier of the Regional Government of Åland) and Aldo Ravazzi-Douvan (Chief Economist of the Italian Ministry for Environment and former Chair of OECD Committee on Environmental Taxation).
